Guitars are most reactive and dynamic when connected directly to the front end of an amplifier. The reason for this is impedance…for it is always impedance.

Guitar pickups output a high impedance signal and amplifiers are designed to interact with high impedance signals, they have a close relationship with each other. However, putting pedals between guitar and amp can ruin that relationship. Buffers alter the guitar signal’s impedance and the more active components between guitar and amp the less the two can can have that reactive partnership.

With their ‘Organic’ concept, Torino Audio aim to keep that magic interaction between guitar pickup impedance and signal chain. Designing pedal circuits without buffers or ICs, and with as few active components as possible is a challenging task, but done right can provide some unique, raw, and dynamic effects.

These pedals are incredibly flexible in tones, and thanks to some internal connecting pins on the circuit board these are modular, allowing for up to 5 circuit boards to be connected together and housed within the same enclosure.
